|07:56 pm - Update of sorts|
Apparently, carrying a ton of kitty litter with an injured wrist was a BAD idea. Ow. Ow. Ow. I know I owe people replies and emails, but I haven't forgotten about you. They're coming, once I attempt to remove the bracer tomorrow.
Kittehs are fine, demanding NOMS and hugs. Mostly noms. Duh.
The weather is stupid. We keep having August temperatures. WTF? I'm tired of being drenched in sweat 24/7. Without a/c.
The idiots in our government decided that *everyone* should pay MOAR taxes for any property we own, as if we haven't paid already. Meaning I'll have to cough up another 500 euros (at least) by the end of the year, and as much next year. Meaning the cats should better get used to the cheap food, I should put off getting an a/c, and probably start eating cat food as well. *gruntmumblegrunt*
On the plus side, I got a rewrite request from a magazine I REALLY want to be published in. Not pro, but a very respectable ezine nonetheless. No more details because I fear I might jinx it. Just keeping the fingers of my right hand crossed and slowly typing the rewrites with the index finger of my injured left. No, I can't type with my right. For some reason, it gives me headaches.
More tomorrow. I hope.
PS: Dear LJ spellchecker, NOMS is *totally* a word.
Current Mood: tired
Hope your wrist heals soon! *hugs*
Just one more week and we'll get our kittens!!!
I'm getting you lint rollers for Chrismas, you know... ;)
They have more grey fur than orange or white, so I'm hoping for the best (while prepared for the worst) ... right now they still have that feathery fuzz of baby fur, so it's pretty impossible to say how they will turn out as adults. (Their mum is a dark tortie, their dad a white-orange lion.)
Hoping you feel better soon, the weather cools off, and the rewrite works. :)
Thank you! At last, the weather has cooled, and kittehs begin to form piles. :p

Congrats & Good Luck with the rewrite request. And sorry about the wrist/headache. And about the taxes, too. :(
Thanks. :) And I hope that things are calmer over there by now.

Nothing's happened the last few days. I think Kabul in general is going to get progressively worse, though.
How're things in Athens atm?

Get better soon, and good luck with the mag request!
As for the new property tax: I only put off buying a bike, so I'm not complaining for my own sake. But I'm furious to see what it costs to other people. We should take the streets again. But I fear people are psychically exhausted at this point. :(
THanks. :) I'm better already.
And any comment about our politicians from now on will be accompanied by a flip of my finger. :/

So the weather is that bad all over Europe? ;) I suggest a writing really big petition to whoever's in charge!
(and that global economy really sucks. I hope it gets better soon, so you can stop eating cat food and I can have my job back!)
Good luck with the rewrites! Is the second part of the Tomb Robbery Gone Wrong coming soon, as well?
Finally the weather good nicely cooler here. :) The kittehs are forming piles.
Tomb Robbery #2
won't be up until next week (two stupid key paragraphs that won't come together) and I'm racing against three end-of-September submission deadlines with a bad back and a still aching wrist. But I just posted a new (annd waaay rougher) draftof another Ankhu&Nedjem story, if you still feel like critting. ;)
Oh, and as I said above, any comment about our politicians from now on will be accompanied by a flip of my finger. :/
Emails sent (don't know if the email address works; didn't get bounce notices at least!)
Hope you can join in!
